189 (1) The Noble Path

“Bhikkhus, I will teach you the noble path and the ignoble path. Listen and attend closely….And what, bhikkhus, is the ignoble path? The destruction of life … and wrong view. This is called the ignoble path.

“And what, bhikkhus, is the noble path? Abstention from the destruction of life … and right view. This is called the noble path.”

“And what, bhikkhus, is the Dhamma not to be realized? The destruction of life … and wrong view. This is called the Dhamma not to be realized.

“And what, bhikkhus, is the Dhamma to be realized? Abstention from the destruction of life … and right view. This is called the Dhamma to be realized.”
